Palestinian and Egyptian Revolutionary Intellectuals Remembered in JPSLondon, September 2012: Hanna Mikhail (Abu Omar) and Mahjub Omar, two revolutionary intellectuals, who dedicated their lives to the struggle of the Palestinian people for liberation and justice, are remembered in the latest issue of the Journal of Palestinian Studies (JPS: Summer 2012), in two articles by Jehan Helou and Elias Khouri.In an introduction to both articles, the Editor of JPS, Rashid Khalidi, recalls:"Even among the selfless men and women who filled the ranks of the [Palestinian] Resistance in the early years, these two stood out for their utter devotion to the cause, and the intelligence and commitment with which they served."The article about Abu Omar is written by his companion and comrade, Jehan Helou, who focuses on his political and social views.
