Dear Mr. Bakri and Colleagues , 

I second your opinion for keeping the Senate as a balance to the Congress. It does guarantee a balance between the elected bodies and the executive branch. Having a bad experience with the Senate in the past does not mean that the idea and practice are bad and unnecessary , it just means that it was applied wrong and undemocratic like the rest of the system.

May I also add our request to release all the drafted constitution documents now so that we can study it and declare our opinions and wishes objectively instead of guessing in the dark.

The conscious of Egypt, knowledge , transparency and objective is what we demand from all of us and we hope that you practice what we ask for for the good of Egypt and Egyptian generations to come. God bless Egypt.

أكتب إليكم بغير معرفة سابقة - ولكن بإدراك كامل لإخلاصكم للوطن وصدق نواياكم ورغبتكم في الوصول بمصرنا العزيزة للأمان - راجيا أن يصلكم كتابي وقد بقي في الوقت متسع لتدارك ما أعتقده خطأ قاتلا تم بحسن نية في مسألة السلطة التشريعية. ومع أني كنت وما زلت ضد غرفة ثانية في شكل مجلس الشورى غير المأسوف عليه، فإنني أرى أن غرفة ثانية في شكل مجلس شيوخ - مختلف عن مجلس شيوخ الأربعينات وما سبق - يحقق ضمانات للتشريع والتمثيل وعدالة للمهمشين وتمثيل كاف وعادل لكافة مكونات المجتمع المصري المتنوع، خصوصا المرأة والمسيحيين والمناطق الحدودية الجنوبية والشرقية والغربية الذين تعرضوا في الماضي للإقصاء والغبن، ومن ثم الإخلال بالحقوق بشكل أدى إلى الشعور بالظلم وأثر على الانتماء الوطني وأصبح يؤثر على وحدة الوطن.

أكون شاكرا لكم الاطلاع على المرفق الذي قمت بنشره بموقعي على الشبكة العنكبوتية، راجيا تدارككم للموقف.
