World's Representatives visiting Morsy ?
The visits form out side leaders to the ousted Egyptian president started by granting a request to Kathryn Ashton, The representative from the European Union. The visit lasted for over two hours, Mrs. Ashton was flown to Morsy's destination and she attested that he was well taken care off and in good health but no further detailed.
After the Transnational Government and our Egyptian Military agreed to the visit from an out side body, it became like the fashion of the season, every one with a name wanted to visit Morsy !
The Malian President Alpha Omar Konare also put his request from the African Union Delegation .
This week President Obama ironically designated two Republican Senators , Senator John Mc Cain and Senator Lindsey Grahm both from the Armed Services Committee to visit Egypt and request the expediting of election and the release of Morsy !
Do all these leaders and their countries or continent really care about Morsy's well being ? Is Egypt that important to these leaders and their Countries ? Or these leaders do not want to be left out of the picture or just the feeling to be important on the world stage ?
Why did the Egyptian Government allow some to visit and not others ? Why did it allow the visit from the beginning ?
In my humble opinion, the Egyptian Government made the right decision to grant Mrs. Ashton the visit to Morsy as a good jester to the European mostly civilized way of dealing with Egypt.at the same time, Egyptian government and the Egyptian military proofs to the world that Morsy has not been harmed and he is alive and well.
The Egyptian government however does not owe it to any out side power or a leader to proof any thing from it's internal policy or it's political decision specially with over 40 million mandate coming directly from the Egyptian people in the streets of Egypt..The Egyptian government has so much to do to spend it's time playing a host to any leader who wants to be in the picture but there is a world diplomacy that we must decide what to do with. Our African Union has been so disappointing in their decision but we have not been present in our African Stage for years and the brotherly and sisterly feelings and empathy has been absent for years, so throwing us away did not come so difficult from some of these African members who may have even considered it pay back for our negligence of the black content..
Finally we come to the big fish , president Obama sends his envoy to Egypt. President Obama's decisions has not been so clear towards Egypt and neither has he been supportive . The American Egyptian Military relationship however was strong for years since Sadat's camp David's treaty and maintained through Mubarak time. The Pentagon declared that what happened in Egypt was not a Coup.It is important for the US to help secure Israel's boarders , the Senate today voted Unanimously against stopping the US 1.5 billion dollars aid to Egypt . It is also important that Egypt controls the weapons smuggling coming from Hamas, Libya , and Sudan which could very well cause a threat to Israel.
Now that McCain and Graham are going to Egypt ,Does Egypt owe them or the US any explanation ? Should the Egyptian government grant them a visit to Morsy ?
I think not. Enough show time, The Egyptian Government should follow the law in dealing with Morsy and not grant any exemptions to Morsy or his Cult, the more generous the Egyptian government will be the more the MB Cult may think they are important and cause more trouble to Egypt security,The Egyptian Government does not owe any thing in particular to the US or it's envoy or President Obama for that matter.
I believe that Egypt will and can do well without this cursed military aid which put Egypt under the US control for years, Egypt must shed this heavy weight and be free of it's obligation , to be the new leader that it once was and can be again in the very near future. Egypt can be the Brazil of Africa and the pulse of the middle East. Tying Egypt to US military aid is putting a shackle on Egypt's strength, it makes it void and null from the world.
The US has lost it's world place by it's hesitant and shaky stands with the Egyptian Revolution, and standing by the wrong choice in Egypt, the MB as proven was the worst choice that US supported to jump to power. The Egyptians will need time to forget how the US supported the MB to jump on the Egyptian Revolution.
What do we do with our American visitors during their visit ?
We show them that we are a civil society that follows the law just like the US and that the Judicial System is taking it is due process to try Morsy for his crimes according to our laws and that we the government will not interfere with the Judicial System and process. So no, I hope we do not grant the American Senators a visit to Morsy. We do not want to provide more materials to be played to benefit the American Constituent campaign materials at the expense of the Egyptians.If our American government wants to sincerely help Egypt then they should come to us with real gifts, real package of developments , real industrial of financial or agricultural package, but if they are still going to talk about the threat of stopping the 1.5 billion dollars aid, I would say please do not come, just go ahead and cut it.
If the US pays for the service it receives from this so called aid, they will pay more in the today's market price. Paying for priority of the usage in the Suez Canal, paying for the privilege of Egypt's air space, joined military in our desert , Buying an over priced equipment and supplies from the US market via US dealers , which brings all the funds back to US , no loss there . This is not an unbeatable gift.
Freeing our military from this aid package could be the best thing that could happen to Egypt today. So please do not wast your time to try to save it, there is a whole world out there wanting to extend today's hand to Egypt, let us use this opportunity to spread our wing and explore opportunities to keep up with today's Egypt .
When Egypt brings back full security to the streets , when we stop the road blocks, when we start the trials of Morsy and his Cult , when we free Raba Eladwyia to it's rightful owners, the outside people will stop the nonsense of questioning the legitimacy of the change in Egypt as long as it is all done by the rule of law.
Once again , please let us show the world that we can, that we are a Civil society that follows the Laws to apply the order in our country.
