My dearest Dr. Sharaf,
I write what I believe in and therefore I consider it available for all who are interested, so please feel free to share with any other person you deem fit.I do a lot of quibbling with Dr. Safy, we quarrel almost like brother and sister and of course it has increased by Dr. Safy's wish to support Dr. Morsy in ways as a member of the Muslim brotherhood and in other ways as the first democratically elected president for Egypt.
With all due respect , I differ on both bases. One the base of Dr. Morsy being the first democratic president is hugely default, as in my humble opinion this election was neither democratic  nor constitutional . It should never have been allowed the minute Dr. Shafiq was allowed in , as he skewed it to the wrong therefore it was illegal and should have been annulled. An election without a constituion can not be considered constitutional.
The other serious issue for me my dear doctor is the fact that we do not have time to give. Time is a luxury that Egypt and all Egyptians do not have , give him a chance is a default argument, we have been calling for a change for years and those who do not have a clear vision of what needs to be done immediately  should get out of the way. Give him a chance is a defeatist call." Lead , follow or get the heck  out of my way" is what we must practice in Egypt now.If Dr. Morsy can not work with the experts who are outside his comfort zone , he needs to leave with dignity, he should put Egypt ahead of personal gains and Eggo, then he will be remembered with kindness. I may sound harsh but the facts are more difficult to swallow as seeing a child hungry and sleeping in the streets of Cairo makes me angry at the people who are more concerned to change our constituion to serve their ideology than to feed and save that child. Where is Islam in closing our eyes on the sick, the hungry and the needy ? How could we sleep specially the people in charge ?
Yes the president inherited a heavy load but Dr. Morsy so far has not done much for Egypt.
Samia

Dr Samia:
Hurriedly, I am writing a line and will elaborate.

Unfortunately, the other alternative is not better, if not worse. Opportunism across the whole spectrum prevails. I believe in democracy and its outcome, so I ll give Dr Morsi the benefit of doubt, noting that he is first qualified president to rule Egypt
If yourself or myself were in his seat, you ll be ruling an ailing country with the military choked the whole nation for 18 mos, let alone 30 yrs under Mubarak. It is now derided of human and financial resources. A nation in debt and on the brink.
Egypt needs all of its people to genuinely be involved in a painful process of rebuildinge task is daunting, th. Slowly but surely. Are the Egyptians ready to pay a price for our collusion with Mubarak by silence and weakness?

P.S.
If you would not mind, could I copy our exchange to your friend and mine Dr Safei to have more Egyptian brains positively involved .

Egypt condition   today breaks my heart, I do not know yet what to do about it, but I know for sure that we can not give up , we must never surrender and that starts with me. We must unite , plan , execute and concur. Egypt is resilient, The good old Egyptians survived the Mamalik , the Turkish Empire , the French , the English , the Israelise and finally Housni Mubarak. I just wish the current regime will learn from history that they can not suppress the people and that fooling nations is like a band aid it will fall fast enough.
Dr. Morsy is a good man , but I am afraid the job is way bigger than he is , and he does not seem to be sincere about taking advantage of any experts around him. Egypt now has become like the gold rush years in North America , when a hand full of Muslim Brotherhood are making millions while the others are suffering. We are turning to be the land of lawless , Malisha and survival ship for the strongmen and those who have longer beard.I am afraid that the road ahead of us is so dark and much harder than it was during the first year of the revolution , because then , we all were united against Mubarak and the Military . Now how can we fight brain washing the poor , the needy and the ignorant?
I am so disappointed in Dr. Morsy and the Muslim Brotherhood as I think God gave them an amazing opportunity and they blew it all. Greed ,  selfishness, ambition  and ideology blinded them on how much abuse can the Egyptians bear?
I still believe that after the dark , the light must come and after the storm , the calm will also come. God bless you my dear for all that you do and please do not stop and I promise you neither will I.

Dr Samia,
The old land is now the land of pickering, squabble, political malice, and some are bent on dooming it to failure so that political enemies vanquish. Mundane.

I know hurricanes well, I live in Boston for several years, and know blizzards well lived in Michigan and Ohio.
I wish you are all safe and unscathed.
God's speed.

Thank you so much Dr. Sharaf. So far, 1.2 millions lost power, the wind is very strong, towns are flooded, we are advised to stay of the roads. I am not afraid it is in God's hand. Good time to reflect but I still do not have any answer for Egypt. I feel we all are sinking.

The latest on Hurricane Sandy

As communities up and down the East Coast prepare for Hurricane Sandy to make landfall, President Obama is urging residents in the path of the storm to heed warnings from state, local, and tribal officials and make final preparations. Earlier today, he spoke from the White House Briefing Room.

Watch President Obama speak about Hurricane Sandy.

We also want to make sure you have the latest guidance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. If you don't live in an area affected by Hurricane Sandy, please pass this along to anyone you know who does.

For more information, be sure to check out FEMA.gov.
  • Follow the direction of local officials -- If told to evacuate, do so immediately.
  • Know the forecast in your area -- Continue to monitor your NOAA Weather Radio and your local news for severe weather updates, warnings and watches. Follow your forecast at weather.gov on your computer or mobile.weather.gov on your phone.
  • Turn around, don't drown -- The potential for heavy rains can also lead to flooding, or flash flooding in some areas. Driving through a flooded area can be extremely hazardous.
  • Make final preparations -- If you're further inland, now is the time to make final preparations. Visit ready.gov and be ready for power outages and stock up on emergency supplies of food, water, medications, and other supplies.
  • Check on your neighbor -- Make sure they're ready, too.
  • Finding shelters -- Download the Red Cross Hurricane app (redcross.org/mobile-apps/hurricane-app), visit redcross.org/find-help/shelter, or check your local media outlets. You should also register on redcross.org/safeandwell, a secure and easy-to-use online tool that helps families connect during emergencies. Finally, you can download the FEMA smartphone app (fema.gov/smartphone-app) or text SHELTER and your Zip Code to 43362 (4FEMA). Standard rates apply.
  • Donate blood -- If you don't live in an affected area, please consider donating blood, because numerous blood drives have been canceled as a result of the storm. To schedule a blood donation or for more information about giving blood or platelets, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
