{الفكر القومي العربي} The story of the two Pope.

I must admit , I woke up at 6 :00 am this morning to watch the movie on Netflix " The story of the two pope" as I have followed their stories and cases as well as other popes all through my adult life. I somehow think that the pope's position is a very complicated one from being  personal, to religious to political to financial manager. Leading a nation of 1.2 billion people spread all over the world, is so challenging to say the least . That is why being a Muslim leader of 1.7 billions is just as challenging if not more for the sheer increase of number.
The two popes differed greatly in their personality, their background , their nationality and their preference. One is so scholarly and a traditional thinker, and the otter is so practical and his style endorses the change of the society and the need of the time. Yes both agreed to differ and even argued about the ways they look at matters yet they were so humble and respectful to each other. They even enjoyed each other's company as one told the other to keep  the company of brothers for one evening.
Now we can critique each of them but those of us who has no sins to throw the first stone. With me being of Muslim faith I say out loud that there are so many times that I get so made at Alazher, we the Muslims have no layers but put the responsibility of judgement and faith leadership into Alazher which unfortunately has fallen into a disgraceful position over the years. I get mad when I see all Egypt sermon is the same sheets which means that it comes from the security organization which serves the regime. For Alazher to be silent on the crimes committed by the system is a great sin, for being silent is being a partner in crime, for benefiting financially by accepting benefit from a corrupt system is being corrupt themselves.
I know that the regime is cruel and their punishment is prison or death, but what is the history judgement if not standing with what we believe during the dark time ?   If a tyrant can succeed to silent all of us then who is going to stand for humanity ? Wouldn't the Zar's and Nazi system and the British empire would have still being in place ? What is the value of life if we do not stand for freedom, liberty and justice for all ? What world would we leave for our grandchildren if we let the criminals and tyrants rule the world ? Is there a difference between the abusive system in Egypt, Israel, India ,China and many other similar situations ? Abuse for one is an abuse for all regardless of the religion, ethnicity, color or creed. I say we all must stand for human kind whether we are religious or not but there is one string that holds us all and that is Mankind.
BTW. The move is riveting ,funny and sad but made me reflect and I hope it does the same to you.Happy Holidays to all
