Civilized Countries follow the Law.
I must have read it somewhere years ago, that we measure how civilized a country is and how civilized people are , we measure that by how fair, kind and equal we treat a minority segment in our society.
A minority segment could have been a majority ruler at any one time, they may have been unfair, and unlawful , they may have been violent people with the wrong methodology and ideology towards our people.
But I also remember from my dad and my mom, that we never kick some one while he is down on the ground, and lucky those who could and forgave.
Why am I reaching and stretching to kindness ? Because this is what we need in Egypt now. We need to follow the law, do it by the book. Egypt is a civilized country. We have laws and we are signers on UN Human Rights .
We the Egyptians can not and will not pull our self above the current standards unless we set our standards high.
We can have the power , and we do at this time, but following the law is a much higher power.Treating every one equal in front of the law and by all our laws is the exact meaning of civilization.
Dear Egyptian colleagues , let us all show restraints, let us call for the law to take it's effects for all citizens , if we do not respect human rights and International Laws then we will be going through the same system as the prior regime ,Morsy, Mubarak, and others. Lack of real democracy and lack of equality and the shame of not following the law as a well established and civilized society.
To start with a new system, one that is much harder to establish , and better to follow , we must start now by following the law. We must treat every one equally in front of the law under all and any circumstances.
