These days , time seems to be so slow in our beautiful America. So much campaigning, so much fighting over who is right and who is wrong, who is extreme , who is liberal, who is conservative ?
There seems to be more hate, more differential speeches and treatments and more under current racialism.
It seems that the Covid 19 challenged us all but instead of bringing the best of us , it seems to have brought a lot of negative feelings, more irritations and more anger. One side of the population is angry due to the lack of federal policy and presidential model leadership which in their mind led to the death of 230000 American lives. Those side of the isle wish for better leaders, better results and faster recovery. Top that with the financial losses , the education and school suffering and the stress felt by all by being locked at home for months and months.
The other side of the isle, resents limiting what they see as their liberty or freedom. Being forced to wear a mask to be allowed in a plane or a restaurant or a hairdresser. Even being at home with children 24/7 , playing the childcare staff, the teacher and the still professional who must finish her or his work on time at home.
From both parties and in between suffers the small business owners , the lower level workers , and all who do not benefit from Wall Streets and Government employees .
The most horrible fear is for citizens who follow the news, what is happening in our society. The fear of the unknown. Is there going to be a civil war in America ? What is November 5th going to be like ?
Will we have an uncontested president ? Will there be people with guns in the streets and around the voting stations ?
Gun sales have risen lately in the US and many who never considered having a gun are now thinking about it seriously.
Will there be trouble in our community ?
People are reaching their maximum tolerance for stress . This is unprecedented time not only for the epidemic and for the financial stress but for the political and social unrests in America.
Is America going through a soft revolution ? If so will it fair better that the Arab Spring ?
Finally many people world wide are still dying for the right to vote and for their vote to be counted so I do hope we in America guard that right and practice it peacefully. I also hope we will unite and love each other again after the election, with a country that can heal and be stronger than now.
