Statement of NAR about the latest murderous attack of Israel on Gaza
The New Left Stream (Neo Aristero Reuma – NAR) condemns the latest brutal invasion of Israel of the Gaza strip, which caused the death of 23 people and the injury of tens of people, including children, as well as the death of the secretary general of the Popular Resistance Committees in Gaza, Zuhir al-Qaisi
The brutal policy of Israel creates poverty zones in Gaza and elswhere, expanding settlements, the wall of shame and the repression of the Palaistinian people. It militarises internal society and is a threat to global peace and citizens. It is a continuous threat as it prepares to attack Iran, and through the attacks of its special forces and the invlovement of its secret services in the entire Middle East, it is a wild kind of imperialism.
The attritional Papademos government, by choosing to cooperate with the state of Israel is increasing Greece's involvement with plans for an imperialistic invension in the wider area of the East Medditerranean and Middle East. These policies are opposed by the vast majority of Greek people. The necessity for a common international fight of the working people in this area is more obvious that ever so that a wall can be built against the brutality, which would be a wall of cooperation, peace and social liberty.
